 DESCRIBE A PROCESS



1º On your own, decide on something that you enjoy, or find interesting, about: how to USE something, how to MAKE something, or how to DO something.

2º Make a list of everything that is needed (including tools, materials, ingredients, etc.).

3º Explain each step in the process, using short, simple sentences, the imperative and linking words.

4º ou have to create a video or PowerPoint to explain your process.

5º You need to hand in the written instructions as well (if though ppt, there. If explaining or with video, on a paper)

1ºESO LAB VOCABULARY – 3rd Term

a)       Carboard: very thickhard paper, usually  brown in color, used especially for making boxes.

b)      Fabric: cloth or material for making clothes.

c)       Ink: coloured liquid used for writing, printing, and drawing.

d)      Mixture: a substance made by mixing other substances together.

e)      Item: something that is part of a list or group of things.

f)        Measure: unit used to establish the sizeweight, etc. of something.

g)       Quantity: the amount or number of something.

h)      Device: a thing made for a particular purpose, especially a piece of mechanical or electronic equipment.

i)        Container: something such as a box or bottle that is used to hold or store things in.

j)        Tray: flat piece of plasticmetal, or wood, with raised edges, used for carrying things such as plates, food etc.

k)       Stir: to mix a liquid or other substance by moving an object such as a spoon in a circular pattern.

l)        Pour: to make a substance flow from a containerespecially into another container, by raising just one side of the container that the substance is in.

m)    Spread the word: communicate something to a lot of people.

n)      Automatic: able to operate independently of human control.

o)      Manual: done with the hands.
